Why do we put up with all of this?

What does it take for the voters in this state to wake up and smell the coffee?

The city of Chicago run by the Democrats, while run pretty well by the Daleys, is currently experiencing a dramatic rise in homicides and crime.

Cook County, run by the Democrats, is a total disaster and mess.

The state of Illinois is run by Democrats who can't agree among themselves on anything nor accomplish anything.

Now Gov. Rod Blagojevich comes up with another of his brilliant ideas to send state troopers and the National Guard to Chicago to enforce the law.

I just can't believe the citizens here are willing to continue to put up with this incompetent government that is incapable of agreeing with itself on anything and is incapable of establishing a budget (even if unreasonable) while treating us as cash cows.

Their only solution is raising taxes and finding more creative ways to spend our hard-earned money.

I can't believe the citizens aren't totally fed up with all this. I certainly am.

And the thought of having more of this wonderful political performance on the national level is sickening.

Are we total gluttons for punishment? Seems like it.
