Small Potatoes folk concert: 7 p.m. Aug. 23, Prairie Crossing Gazebo, on Route 45 between Peterson Road and Route 120, Grayslake. Small Potatoes, joined by the Libertyville Improv Playhouse, will perform to benefit the mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters. $10 for adults, free for children. Beth Judea golf outing: 11:30 a.m. Aug. 24, Buffalo Grove Golf Club, 48 Raupp Boulevard, Buffalo Grove. The Men's Club of Congregation Beth Judea of Long Grove will host its 13th annual golf outing. In addition to 18 holes of golf, there will be a 7 p.m. dinner at Lou Malnati's. The cost for golf and dinner is $95 per person; dinner only is $20 for adults, $5 for kids. Proceeds will go to the Jack Rizman Memorial Fund at Congregation Beth Judea, used to provide Jewish musical concerts and programs for Beth Judea and the local community.
