Libertyville Travel Baseball Tryouts: Noon to 3 p.m. for sixth-graders and 3-6 p.m. for fifth-graders Aug. 23; noon to 3 p.m. for seventh-graders and 3-6 p.m. for eighth-graders Aug. 24; and noon to 3 p.m. for third-graders and 3-6 p.m. for fourth-graders Sept. 14, Nicholas Dowden Park, 500 S. Dymond Road, Libertyville. Open to all children living in the Libertyville High School District. Arrive no later than 15 minutes before tryouts. Wear baseball pants, a baseball cap and athletic shoes or rubber baseball spikes (grades 7-8 may wear metal spikes). Bring a glove, bat and water bottle. Do nor wear LTB apparel. Adult Fall Softball Leagues: Games will be played at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. beginning Aug. 24 on the Aquatic Softball Field, 250 Library Lane, Grayslake. A minimum eight-week season will be played. Choice of league: Friday Co-Rec (14-inch Mush) or Wednesday Men's (12-inch). For ages 18 and up. Beth Judea golf outing: 11:30 a.m. Aug. 24, Buffalo Grove Golf Club, 48 Raupp Boulevard, Buffalo Grove. The Men's Club of Congregation Beth Judea of Long Grove will host its 13th annual golf outing. In addition to 18 holes of golf, there will be a 7 p.m. dinner at Lou Malnati's. The cost for golf and dinner is $95 per person; dinner only is $20 for adults, $5 for kids. Proceeds will go to the Jack Rizman Memorial Fund at Congregation Beth Judea, used to provide Jewish musical concerts and programs for Beth Judea and the local community. Tennis classes: Classes begin the week of Aug. 25, Racquet Club of Lake Bluff, 945 N. Shore Drive, Lake Bluff. Registration is being accepted for fall junior and adult tennis classes. A nine-week Mini-Tennis class for ages 4-11 is $171. Adult classes, including beginner through advanced skill levels, are $311 for a nine-week class and $276 for an eight-week class.
