2 Cubs' fans stand trial in Brewers' fan beating

MILWAUKEE -- Two Downers Grove Cubs fans accused of beating up a Brewers fan in Milwaukee will stand trial.

Twenty-five-year-old Adam Miechle and 26-year-old Jerry Emert are charged with felony substantial battery after allegedly beating 24-year-old Brandon Feezor, who suffered a broken jaw.

The pair waived their preliminary hearing Monday, which means they will go to trial. They pleaded not guilty.

The criminal complaint says Feezor and Cubs fans on the bus exchanged insults and threw items at each other before three people got off the bus July 29th after the Brewers lost to the Cubs.

A 34-year-old Joliet man received a municipal ticket for assault and battery after police say he punched his sister in the mouth as she tried to intervene.
