Kane County
• Jason C. Martinez, 30, of 13 Poplar Drive, Yorkville, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Saturday and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, narcotic mushrooms), possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, marijuana possession and speeding after he was clocked driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone near Jericho and Barns roads in St. Charles Township, police said.
• Sandro Segura, 27, of 3253 Juanita Lane, Montgomery, was arrested at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of a fraudulent identification card and speeding 66 mph in a 55 mph zone at Bertram and Jericho roads in Sugar Grove Township, police said.
• A microwave oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and chandelier were among $4,750 in items reported stolen Tuesday from an unoccupied house at 40W490 Stoncrest Court, Plato Township.
Geneva
• A blue GT BMX bicycle, unlocked, was stolen off a rack to the west of the depot at the Metra station, 300 Crescent Place, between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Monday, according to a police report.
• Someone tried to push in a basement window in the 500 block of Windett Lane between 10 p.m. July 26 and 5 p.m. Saturday. The resident thinks it happened around 1 a.m., because his dog awoke him with barking.
Batavia
• A vehicle was scratched and dented in the 1100 block of Edwards Drive. It was reported to police at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday.
• A cloth bag containing papers was stolen out of a vehicle on South River Street, it was reported Tuesday morning. The burglar smashed a window with a rock.
• A white Haro 0708 BMX bicycle, unlocked, was stolen off a rack at Quarry Beach, 400 S. Water St. The theft was reported at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday.
St. Charles
• Two purses were stolen out of the back seat of a vehicle parked on the 400 block of Cedar St. in St. Charles at about 11 p.m. July 26. The purses are described as one black Coldwater Creek purse and a red leather purse of an unknown brand. Both had miscellaneous contents, according to a police report.
• Saul Diaz-Correa, 17, of 1402 Indiana St., Unit B, was arrested Sunday for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license.
• Shaina Ashley Nordlund, 19, of 6N721 Roosevelt Ave., was arrested Monday and charged with stealing three pairs of underwear, valued at about $24, from a Kohl's department store in St. Charles.
• A motor vehicle was broken into on the 1100 block of Dean Street in St. Charles sometime between Saturday and Monday. A prescription pill bottle, CDs, a tire pressure gauge, a silver flashlight, a map of Chicago, a crescent wrench and a screwdriver were taken from the vehicle.
