Townhouses offer prime location in Des Plaines
Lexington Park, a new community of 120 townhouses, offers a prime location within walking distance of Metra, downtown Des Plaines and its new Metropolitan Square, where there's plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors.
The Lexington Homes development offers three floor plans that come standard with two to three bedrooms, 2 baths and attached two-car garage. Buyers also can select from a variety of options and upgrades, including fireplaces, alternate bedroom configurations and more powder rooms.
"Lexington Park is the first new-construction townhouse community in Des Plaines to offer buyers the charm of a quiet suburban setting, plus urban conveniences such as retail, entertainment and public transportation options within footsteps of their front door," said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes.
Located north of Miner Street in downtown Des Plaines, Lexington Park offers three models that feature the builder's signature touches, such as arched entryways, kitchen pass-thru, a built-in window seat in the master bedroom, and a den situated off the kitchen.
The Warrington floor plan is priced from $348,490 and offers 1,758 square feet, two bedrooms and 2 baths.
The main floor, one-half flight up from the entry, features a contemporary décor with chocolate and green palette and dark wood furnishings.
The open living/dining room shows hardwood floors, Juliette balcony, an abundance of seating and plasma TV. A table runner and green place settings top the dining table while a free-standing mirror gives the room a spacious feel.
The eat-in kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, cherry cabinetry with granite countertops and doors to the oversized balcony. Off the kitchen, the first-floor den features terra cotta walls and a view of the outdoors. A powder room and laundry closet complete this level.
Upstairs, this model features two master suites at opposite ends of the home where roommates or guests will have plenty of privacy. Buyers can opt for two secondary bedrooms in lieu of the second master suite.
The master suite at the front of the home features a vaulted ceiling, his-and-hers closets and built-in window seat. The upgraded bath shows his-and-hers raised vanities with granite countertops and ceramic tile tub and shower surround.
Also topped with a cathedral ceiling, the second master features a walk-in closet and is large enough to accommodate a desk. The bath has a sink and tub/shower combo.
Down a half-flight of stairs from the main floor, the finished lower level is outfitted as a game room with a poker table and plasma TV.
The Coventry design is priced from $379,990 features 1,913 square feet, three bedrooms and 2 baths.
Again, a half flight up from the front entry is the main level, which showcases a contemporary interior with a brown, eggplant and cream color scheme. Similar to the Warrington, this floor features a Juliette balcony off the living/dining room and hardwood flooring. A cream sofa, two eggplant chairs and a striped chair furnish the living room while a floral centerpiece tops the dining table. An enclave houses a cabinet and mirror.
The open, airy kitchen with extra windows includes stainless steel appliances, maple cabinetry with granite countertops, pantry and pass-through to the dining area. The family can gather around the center island breakfast bar for a quick meal. Again, an oversized balcony and laundry closet sit off the kitchen. There is also a half bath on this floor.
The upper-level master suite features a vaulted ceiling, sheers with eggplant valance and cream bed cover topped with pillows. The luxury bath has dual sinks, tub and walk-in shower.
Two secondary bedrooms with vaulted ceilings are shown as a guest room and home office with a photography theme and old camera display. A full hall bath has a sink and tub/shower.
A half flight down from the entry, the finished lower level is set up as a family room with a large sectional and plasma TV.
The Bristol model is priced from $324,990 and features 1,605 square feet, two bedrooms and 2 baths. This model showcases many of the features in the Warrington and Coventry plans, but is decorated as a vignette so buyers can envision their own furniture in the home.
The monthly maintenance fee for each floor plan is $168.
