Praise for responses to school fire, storm

Two recent unexpected events - a fierce storm and an elementary school fire - resulted in significant impact to our community.

The responses to these situations, in terms of both action and communication, by the Glen Ellyn village government and Glen Ellyn Elementary District 89, respectively, were professional, effective and timely.

A new standard has been set by these responsible actions.

It is appreciated and respected with gratitude.
