Don't let contractors take advantage

When the storm hit last month the bottom feeders from other cities not in McHenry County came out and scared the residents that they had damage to their roofs.

Many believed their story as they flashed their laser beam and other dog and pony show items. Now that so many believed that story, the lemmings are following. He has a new roof, so I want a new roof. On a three- or four-year-old house, give me a break.

When this is over the out-of-town showmen will be gone and hopefully these people have a large increase in their home insurance. It can be expensive when you scam the insurance company.
