Many home buyers were just irrational
Some lending institutions may be guilty of professional irresponsibility. Their eagerness to secure mortgage loans has led many into a false sense of unaffordable security.
Yet I must question the rationality of home buyers who agree to terms that place them at financial risk.
During my lifetime, I have owned six houses along with the mortgages they carried.
Never once did I purchase a home that over extended my monetary capability.
Now, the recently enacted homeowners bill aims to bail out 400,000 people for making a poor decision.
Meanwhile, my property value has dropped over 10 percent due to the indiscretion by others.
I grow weary of paying for someone else's mistakes.
