Wasn't Jackson's remark a threat?

Justice is supposed to be blind. Everyone is supposed to be equal under the law.

Apparently this doesn't apply to the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Jackson was caught by a live microphone stating that he'd like to cut off Barack Obama's goodies.

I'm no fan of Obama, but isn't that a threat against a presidential candidate? As such, aren't the U.S. Secret Service and the FBI obligated by law to arrest people who make such threats?

I'm sure the average citizen would have his door knocked down and be led away in handcuffs if he or she were caught making similar remarks.

However, Jesse Jackson could probably get away with murder in this country because the feds fear a black backlash.

It's time we make this country enforce its laws equally without regard to politics or the clout of the person involved. Only then can we truly have a system of justice in this country.
