NAMI meeting, mental health discussion Saturday

NAMI Kane County, an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will host a special meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 on the third floor of the Ecker Center for Mental Health, 1845 Grandstand Place, Elgin.

NAMI's featured speaker will be Karen Beyer, executive director of Ecker Center, and the subject of the discussion will center on the delivery of mental health services during the fiscal year that began July 1.

Members of the community are welcome to join with NAMI members and friends for coffee and refreshments followed by a brief meeting and special presentation.
