Neighbor story had some problems

In your Aug. 20th Neighbor article on "Looking for Lincoln", you highlight Capt. Marcellus E. Jones of the 8th Illinois Calvary.

Unless Capt. Jones was part of a Civil War religious revival group, I think you meant a cadre of mounted soldiers called the cavalry.

Additionally, please explain how Capt. Jones was known to fire the very first shot at Gettysburg, especially when a cavalry charge was usually preceded by a covering artillery barrage.
