Car wash fundraiser

A fundraiser car wash is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Round Lake Heights Village Hall, 619 W. Pontiac Court. Proceeds will benefit Ovation for the Cure, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ovarian cancer research, education, treatment options, awareness and support. Cost for the car wash is $5; additional donations are appreciated. The event is being organized by Traci Hamilton and her son Justin Goodof.

How do I work this thing?

Abt Electronics, 1200 N. Milwaukee Ave., Glenview, is offering free how-to classes to help people learn how to work their high-tech gadgets. The hands-on classes include Digital TV Transition at 7 p.m. every Tuesday; How to Use Your Camcorder from 9 to 11 a.m. every Saturday; and How to Use Your DVD Recorder, from 7 to 9:15 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
