We will not pay Cook County tax

My wife and I, both retired and on a fixed income, recently decided to make a modest furniture purchase from a national chain store.

Normally, we would prefer to buy locally, but have now decided to drive to Lake County to save approximately $150, which we will use to fill up our SUV and buy a nice dinner in Lake County.
