Search continues for man and dead woman's children

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a Chicago man wanted for murder and kidnapping.

Investigators say they believe Benito Casanova has fled to Mexico with his three children.

The children's mother, Sofia Garcia, was found slain inside a closet in her Chicago home on April 18. Casanova has been charged in state court with her murder.

An autopsy by the Cook County medical examiner's office indicates Garcia, died of head injuries stemming from an assault

The FBI announcement Monday indicates agents believe Casanova could have made it to Iguala, Mexico, where he has family.
