Bike messenger races coming

Bicycle messengers from across the country will gather in Chicago over Labor Day weekend for the North American Cycle Courier Championships and the North American Bike Polo championships.

The main event will be the closed-course race in Garfield Park Aug. 30-31 that will simulate an urban environment with Chicago-specific challenges. Registration is $35 and info is at chicagonaccc.com.

The bike polo event offers three days of tournaments and side competitions for individuals and teams. Registration is $30 for individuals and $90 for teams.
