Elgin
A Schaumburg man arrested Tuesday was wanted for selling drugs in Elgin in September, 2007, police said. Allen Maye, 30, of 2386 Discovery Lane, was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance, police said. Maye was held in the Kane County jail on $5,000 bond with a July 10 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
A man arrested Tuesday was accused of slashing two tires on a Honda Civic and two tires on a tractor, police said. Glenn Kilgore, 25, homeless of Elgin, was charged with criminal damage to property, police said. Kilgore was held in the Elgin lockup on $500 bond with a July 8 court date in Elgin Branch Court.
A Bartlett woman was accused of shoplifting Tuesday for the second time in the past six weeks, police said. Sarah R. Bates, 21, of 910 Molobay Terrace, was charged with retail theft, aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest after security at Meijers, 815 S. Randall Road, reported she took three bottles of cough medicine, a wallet, four packets of seeds, perfume, cosmetics. incense and underwear , police said. Bates also kicked an officer who arrested her, police said. Bates was held in the Kane County jail on $3,000 bond with a July 11 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center. Associate Kane County Judge Allen Cargerman ordered Bates to undergo an evaluation by the Kane County Diagnostic Center before she could be released from custody.
A global positioning system, an I-pod, a blue wallet and a driver's license were stolen Monday from a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse on the 1000 block of Willow Bay.
Sleepy Hollow
Two teenagers found in a 2007 Ford Fusion on the 1000 block of West Main were arrested at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday. Edward J. Slad, 17, of 115 Brookside Drive, Elgin, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child and sex exploitation of a child, police said. A 15-year-old from West Dundee was charged with curfew violation, police said. Slad was released with an Aug. 21 court date in Elgin. The 15-year-old girl was given an Aug. 6 date in Carpentersville court.
South Elgin
Officers responded to the 0-100 block of North LaFox Street at 7 p.m. Saturday for a threats complaint and found a man there who appeared to be very nervous, police said. Jerry Anderson, 41, of 97 N. LaFox St. was wanted for failure to appear in court in DeKalb County for driving while license suspended, police said. A smoking pipe with cocaine residue was found in Anderson's apartment, police said. Anderson was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson was held in the Kane County jail on $1,000 bond with a July 7 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
