Chicago man charged in 2002 murder

Chicago police say they've charged a man already in jail with the 2002 slaying of his uncle.

Police said Saturday that 30-year-old Carlos Hensley was already in custody for two shootings on Chicago's South side that left one woman dead and two men wounded.

Hensley has been held since June 26th at the Cook County Jail on one charge of murder and two charges attempted murder for the May 24th shootings.

Hensley also faces an attempted murder charge for a 2006 shooting of a 31-year-old man.

Police said they developed new evidence in the murder of his uncle, charging Hensley with his killing on Friday.
