Jazz Fest coming to Glen Ellyn

Jazz Fest Glen Ellyn, presented by WDCB 90.9 FM, the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, Karnes Prickett Design, and the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday on Main Street in downtown Glen Ellyn. We talked to organizers about the event.

Q. What's the entertainment lineup?

A. Mulligan Mosaics Big Band at 3 p.m., Henry Johnson Trio with vocalist Tammy McCann at 4:30 p.m., Willie Pickens Trio at 6 p.m. and Chevere featuring Alejo Poveda and Howard Levy at 7:30 p.m.

Q. What's new this year?

A. There's more music, more seating area, more food, a bigger stage and a brand new Web site.

Q. What's everyone's favorite?

A. They enjoy great music in a festival atmosphere and the incredible Hursthouse Jazz Garden.

Q. Other than the big entertainers, what kind of entertainment will people find?

A. A great selection of food, drink and the opportunity to walk around and discover Glen Ellyn.

A. Free but donations are accepted.

A. Parking is available at the train station and nearby parking lots.
