Area being invaded by gypsy moths

Oak trees in Hawthorn Woods and surrounding areas such as Long Grove, Forest Lake, Lake Zurich, the Kemper property and the forest preserve district are being threatened by the gypsy moth. In a very short time this area may be without oak trees that are more than 100 years old.

People in this area need to band together and investigate a plan to eradicate this insect and stop it in its tracks.
