Waukegan woman hurt in Gurnee crash
Gurnee police officials said a Waukegan woman suffered minor injuries this morning during an accident on Washington Street near the Route 41 northbound ramp.
Brian Ou, 21, of Park City, turned in front of a 2000 Nissan Quest minivan while heading left across Washington onto the ramp, Gurnee police Cmdr. William Meyer said.
The Quest, driven by Alma Cortes, 31, of Waukegan, was heading west on Washington about 6:30 a.m. and slammed into the side of Ou's 2008 Nissan Rogue, Meyer said.
The Quest didn't have time to stop, and the impact caused Ou's SUV to roll over.
Cortes was taken to St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. Ou refused medical treatment at the scene.
Ou was cited for failure to yield when making a left turn, Meyer said.
