Power back on in Buffalo Grove, Long Grove

Almost 700 homes went without power early this morning in parts of Buffalo Grove and Long Grove, according to a ComEd spokeswoman.

At about 7:15 a.m., a faulty cable caused the outage, said Kim Johnson, a ComEd spokeswoman. Power was restored by 9:40 a.m., she said.

The outage spanned from Port Clinton Road to the north, Prairie Road to the east and Deerwood Road to the west, she said.
