Aurora sex offender arrested

Joshua Beman, 21, of the 6N 200 block of Hankes Road, Aurora, was arrested Wednesday by Sugar Grove police on a warrant for being on school property while children younger than 18 were present.

An officer recognized Beman when he saw him Sunday at the John Shields Elementary School during the Sugar Grove Corn Boil.

He was removed from the property at that time. The Kane County State's Attorney authorized a felony charge for violating a condition of his registration as a convicted child sex offender. Beman was arrested without incident at approximately 2:45 p.m. at his place of employment. He has an Aug. 15 court date.
