Chicago doesn't need Brett Favre

Why is Brett Favre doing anything of that great importance in Chicagoland?

I can see the Wisconsinites treating him as royalty since the only other people of note from Wisconsin are Don Ameche, Tyne Daly, Jackie Mason, Orson Welles and Liberace.

If Favre was a "team player," he would restructure his contract to make it a one-year deal with a pay cut from $13M to $10M and allow the Packets to give the $3 million to Aaron Rodgers for his patience in waiting for his turn.

And didn't Favre hold the Packers and Rodgers hostage to wait for his decision to play the 2006 season as well?

How long are people supposed to wait for the "Favre decision" every year?

Also, I believe the Chicagoland media shouldn't be on the soap opera in Green Bay -- but on the Bears and their inability to acquire a dominant left guard, game breaking wide receiver, seasoned third-string quarterback and if Ron Turner will be able to figure out what his players do best and not make play-calling a crapshoot.

Another reason the Bears and any other team, shouldn't try to get Favre is because he's on the cover of Madden '09 and is subject to the Madden Jinx.

Chicagoans have enough of curses with that stupid goat and the Cubs.
