CTA: Minor derailment on Red Line

A spokeswoman for the Chicago Transit Authority says a southbound train on the Red Line derailed at the Chinatown stop on the city's South Side, but no one was injured.

CTA spokeswoman Wanda Taylor described the derailment at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday as a "minor incident." Taylor says the train pulled up to the station at Cermak Road and passengers were able to exit onto a platform. She says they were not evacuated.

Taylor says shuttle buses were transporting riders. She says the derailment is under investigation.
