Bush's intentions in Iran seem plain

I find it hard to believe that Dick Cheney and George W. Bush have not been scheming for their own benefit from day one.

The revelation that we have covert actions ongoing in Iran makes it apparent that the inevitable wealth generating step is an attack against Iran.

Now that this second disastrous term is nearing the end, Bush and Cheney realize that time is short and impeachment proceedings are impossible.

When they "retire" from public service, they will undoubtedly collect millions and the energy-related companies for whom they previously toiled will rake in billions.

These all-too-familiar companies will be contracted to drill in the ANWR region and off-shore.

Once we escalate our military actions in Iran, killing more soldiers and people, the same companies will generate more obscene profits because we will prohibit or restrict shipping in the Straits of Hormuz which will drive the contrived price of oil higher yet.

The plan is so transparent it is criminal.

It is unfortunate that both men will likely be pardoned before spending any time in federal prison.
