Car strikes Bartlett playground; no injuries

A woman who passed out behind the wheel crashed her SUV into a Bartlett school playground, but no one was injured.

Police said no children were on the playground at Centennial School when the 37-year-old Bartlett motorist, who had a toddler with her, lost consciousness for unknown medical reasons just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Her Ford Explorer veered off Stearns Road, onto school grounds and knocked down a basketball post before coming to a stop.

The driver was not ticketed but police will seek a license re-examination through the secretary of state's office to make sure her medical condition should not disqualify her from driving, Snider said.
