Motorcyclist injured in Libertyville crash

A motorcyclist was badly hurt Wednesday after he collided with a car in Libertyville, authorities said.
The accident happened about 3:23 p.m. on Peterson Road, west of Milwaukee Avenue. Authorities blocked off both sides of Peterson after the crash.
Peterson was closed between Milwaukee and Butterfield Road for about two hours while the accident was investigated.
The unidentified motorcyclist, who Libertyville firefighters said was not wearing a helmet, was the only person hurt. He was flown by emergency helicopter to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
Libertyville Police are investigating the accident with help from the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team.
No charges have been issued, Libertyville Police said.
