St. Emily seeks alumni

St. Emily School is looking for former teachers and graduates of the school for their alumni list. This information will be used for the Parish and School Golden 50 year Jubilee and to keep our alumni posted on what's happening at the school. Those who know of anyone that has graduated from the school or are in contact with a former St. Emily School teacher, are asked to pass this information along.

Voter registration at arts fest

League of Women Voters of Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Buffalo Grove will register voters at the Buffalo Grove Invitational Fine Art Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19-20, at the Buffalo Grove Town Center, 124 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove. Microchip your pet July 26

Loving Care Animal Clinic, 2633 Kirchoff Road, in Rolling Meadows is holding their bi-annual "Microchip Your Pet Day" on July 26. Pets are safely identified with a tiny microchip that gets injected under their skin. This chip, with a one of a kind identification number, can easily be scanned by animal shelters, police departments or animal clinics and the pet's identity will be made known after a phone call is made to the 24 hour hotline. As a community event there will be a reduced fee of $20 per pet. Call (847) 670-8488 to schedule your pet's appointment.

PAL Program celebrates birthday

The PAL (Partners in Adult Learning Program) will celebrate its 10th anniversary from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. July 16 at the Clearbrook Getz Building, 746 S. Vermont St., Palatine. Guests will be treated to refreshments and cake along with a short program honoring key supporters at 10:30 a.m.

PAL is a partnership between Clearbrook, Northwest Special Recreational Association, Community Alternatives Unlimited and families of young adults over 18 with developmental disabilities and physical challenges, who have graduated out of the school system.

PAL offers its participants year round, full-day programming aimed at providing experiences, services and supports that promote lifelong learning and community membership.
