Jet service to open shop at Aurora Airport
HondaJet Midwest, a sales and service representative for Honda Aircraft Co., made it official today that company will build a 35,000-square-foot, $9 million sales and service facility at the Aurora Airport in Sugar Grove.
The new facility is expected to open in mid-2010.
Officials with HondaJet Midwest said at a news conference Tuesday that Aurora Airport was chosen because of its location, growth potential and business climate.

Sugar Grove Village President Sean Michels and Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner both said they welcome the jobs and potential for economic development the new facility will bring to the area.
"It definitely brings the Aurora Airport up a few notches," Weisner said.
The airport is located in Sugar Grove but owned and operated by the city of Aurora.
HondaJet Midwest is based in Des Moines, Iowa.
The twin engine HondaJet, billed as a "light jet," is a compact jet that seats up to seven and boasts a top cruise speed of 420 knots at 41,000 feet. The jet is being built in North Carolina.
