Call out for exhibitors at Algonquin Commons Art Festival

The call is going out to artists to be exhibitors at the beautiful and spacious Algonquin Commons Art Festival Aug. 16 and 17.

The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17 at 1900 S. Randall Road.

This is an outdoor event with a booth for the kid's art project and face painting

The professionally juried event will require four labeled slides or digital images (preferred) clearly marked as follows: red dot should be in the lower front left corner; Put name, medium and size on all slides/images; and three images of current work and one image of display.

Deadline for entries July 15.

Monetary and ribbon awards will be given.

Festival proceeds will benefit the District 300 schools "Foundation for Excellence."
