Algonquin man accused of illicit taping

An Algonquin man has been accused of secretly videotaping a 14-year-old girl and a woman while they were undressing, police said Monday.

Adam T. Barnett, 28, of 22 Dellwood Court, was charged with three counts of child pornography and four counts of unauthorized video recording, according to a court report.

Algonquin officers found the videotapes in Barnett's home over the weekend, police said. The videotapes were made in 2007 and 2008, police said.

Algonquin Detective Timothy Wilkin said in court Monday that neither the girl nor the woman knew she was being videotaped.

Barnett was held in the Kane County jail on $1,000 bond Monday afternoon.
