Bulls drop their Orlando summer finale
The Bulls wrapped up the Orlando summer league with an 86-73 loss Friday to the Oklahoma City team formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics. The Bulls' summer squad went 2-3, with top draft pick Derrick Rose playing in just two games before being sidelined with right knee tendinitis.
Against Oklahoma City, second-year guard JamesOn Curry scored 17 points, while center Aaron Gray contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Demetris Nichols added 13 points and averaged 13.6 points for the week, finishing as the team's second-leading scorer behind Tyrus Thomas (18.0 ppg), who skipped the last two games.
Rookie forward D.J. White from Indiana led Oklahoma City with 20 points, while one-time Bull Ronald Dupree added 17. First-round draft pick Russell Westbrook and second-year forward Jeff Green did not play.
