Woman forced from car, assaulted
Hampshire police are investigating a sexual assault after a woman was taken from her vehicle late Saturday night and forced into a nearby cornfield.
In a statement, Hampshire police said it happened between 11 p.m. Saturday and 12:07 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Route 20 and Gast Road. The woman was taken to a cornfield north of the location, the report said.
Police have a basic description of a man wearing a dark shirt and jean shorts.
No other information was available.
