Two found shot on West Side

Chicago police say two men have been found shot -- one fatally -- in a car on the city's West Side.

Officer Daniel O'Brien of the Police News Affairs office said the shooting occurred about 5:30 Monday morning near the intersection of Wrightwood and Kostner Avenues.

O'Brien said the car was found in an alley, but it was not immediately known if the two had been driving in the alley or whether they had veered into it after being shot.

O'Brien said one of the men was dead on the scene, and the other was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

He said police were treating the incident as a drive-by.
