Seals' friendships raise questions

When you want to learn about a man you should look at his friends. The picture of Dan Seals I get from looking at his friends is not pretty.

First, there is Dan Rostenkowski. Mr. Rostenkowski used to be a congressman from Chicago but in 1994 he was indicted on 17 counts of embezzlement, wire and mail fraud. He plead guilty to mail fraud and served 15 months in prison. This is the man who Dan Seals allowed to address a class he was teaching on public policy.

Second is Bob Creamer, lobbyist and husband of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. Mr. Creamer has also had trouble with the law. In 2004, he was indicted in federal court on 14 counts of bank fraud. He was sentenced to five months in prison and 11 months house arrest.

These are the sorts of men that Dan Seals chooses to associate with.

While it may or may not say something about his own integrity, it certainly says something about his judgment.
