The questions of logic and abortion

The interesting letter from Richard Kaiser (Fence Post, Monday) regarding abortion encourages me to write.

Mr. Kaiser's second paragraph, first of all, imagines that slavery is unthinkable in our day and age. Actually, slavery exists in almost every country in the world today. It's in the news.

But I've been talking about abortion with others lately who determine that condemnation of the act in question is a matter of logic though none explain it as such no matter how I press them.

Logic is not a matter conjecture, sentiment or morality or a matter of opinion.

We don't know when humanity or sentience arises within the womb. If we knew, there could be no argument. It would be logical.
