Durbin's comment is off the mark

Recently I heard a sound bite from Sen. Dick Durbin. It was basically something close to "The hottest ring of hell is reserved for those who would verbally attack a politician's wife or family."

It was referring to some statements some in the media had made in response to Michelle Obama's rumored church video.

Just so we are clear, Sen. Durbin, people like Hitler or some of his henchmen, Pol Pot, Ted Bundy and the like are actually not as bad as someone who would question or criticize a politician's wife or other family member publicly?

For those in the media who do not lean left, be warned. Beside the fact that you can't mention Sen. Obama's ears, his mixed race, his middle name, his voting record or anything else that could stress his lack of experience at the risk of being called racist, you now have to consider an eternity in damnation if you criticize his wife.
