Medline acquires Chester Labs

MUNDELEIN - Medline Industries Inc., a privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, announced it acquired Chester Labs, a maker of liquid products for personal care, infection control and diagnostic use in medical facilities. Chester Labs, based in Cincinnati, will continue to operate as an independent operating entity under the name Chester Packaging LLC. The intent is to allow Chester to operate independently of Medline and employ its own business strategy in serving its customer base. Total revenue for Medline in 2007 exceeded $2.86 billion.
