Mark Trail shows how not to do it

Hooray! Mark Trail (the cartoon character) shows us and our children how to break the law again.

In a recent episode (Daily Herald, May 21 and 22) Mark kicks in the door of the home of the baddies (without a search warrant, mind you) and barges in.

I believe this is called breaking and entering. And since the occupants were at home at the time, it becomes home invasion.

Then, when the resident male tries to defend his home against the intruder, Mark beats him up. Now, we can add assault and battery to the other charges.

Granted, the couple were no-good-niks (dognappers and extortionists) but any defense lawyer would have all the evidence thrown out because it was obtained illegally. And the lawbreakers would get off scot-free.

Now, there's a lesson we can all live by.
