It's time to get out of ungrateful Iraq

Up until about six months ago, I was willing to give the president the benefit of the doubt regarding our involvement in Iraq.

My position has diminished to the point of no support at all. Here's why:

President Bush has gone on his knees to Saudi Arabia practically begging, not for oil, but for more oil production and told no by OPEC, essentially told to take a hike.

Our troops, in the first Gulf war, chased Saddam out of Kuwait and gave the country back to the Kuwaitis.

Middle Eastern criminals have murdered hundreds of Marines sleeping in their barracks in 1983 in Lebanon. These cowards have killed our sailors aboard the USS Cole In the Aden, Yemen harbor in 2000.

Finally, the straw that broke my camel's back was when our high ranking officers went in supplication to the Iraqis begging forgiveness when our soldier used the Koran for target practice.

Granted, our soldier used poor judgment. He was sent back to the states and will probably pay a penalty over and above the severity of the so-called crime.

It's time to leave and let these car-bombing, lawless jihadists solve their own problems.

Get out now and shed not one more drop of American blood in this ungrateful country.

We have lost more than a thousand great Americans to bring democracy to a country that will never accept a free and decent society. Get out now.
