Durbin shouldn't be blaming OPEC

On May 29 at a gas station in Aurora, Dick Durbin publicly declared his outrage at the high price of gasoline. He blamed OPEC and talked about suing them as a solution.

But while Durbin points fingers at OPEC, we should be pointing fingers at him and the rest of the Democratic Congress that promised us lower gas prices.

While we wait for alternative energy sources to come into fruition, it only makes sense to utilize the oil resources that we have in our own country.

We could have been energy independent had we drilled for oil in ANWR ten years ago.

Dick Durbin and his cronies in Congress have gotten in bed with environmental extremists who want to dictate our lifestyle to us.

Illinois deserves better.

Obviously, Dick Durbin thinks he knows what's best for us.

But what's really best for us is getting Dick Durbin out of office.
