Some zany ideas in the city that works
The CTA is planning to remove seats to be able to convey more people to their destinations. What a good idea!
I would go one further. Charge half fare and install seats on the top of the train cars much like the ski racks on top of autos.
Admittedly, riders may have to scrunch down when an overpass looms, but that's OK for a half price seat.
In the winter, the fare may be cut even further.
Just one more harebrained idea for Daley's "City That Works."
