Elgin Community College is holding several events this month for individuals to get better acquainted with the college. All events are held on the main campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, and are free and open to the public unless noted.

• "Welcome Wednesdays" offer a tour of the ECC campus and information about the college's academic programs, services and enrollment process. The next session is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the Visual and Performing Arts Center.

• Adults are invited to attend a "Beginnings" information session to learn what ECC has to offer and what steps to take to enroll. The next session is at 6 p.m. June 10 in the Student Resource Center Alumni Room.

• A career inventory is ideal for individuals seeking assistance with career planning. These two-hour workshops provide an overview of the career planning process and the resources that exist at ECC to help you throughout this process. The next session is from 10 a.m. to noon on June 16. Cost of the session is $5.
