Storm dampens event, not spirits
I attended the Relay for Life at Mundelein High School last Saturday.
Because of the bad weather it turned out to be a disaster. We were able to do the Survivors of Cancer Walk around the track, but everything else was canceled because of the storm.
Thanks first of all to my family, who showed concern for me in our ordeal.
Next, thanks to all of the workers from the American Cancer Society who worked so hard to put this event on.
And, thanks to the Mundelein Police Department for their professional help and caring to ensure our safety when there were tornado warnings.
