Cancer rider on 30-stadium baseball tour

On May 27, Cary Freels launched Thirty on One, a motorcycle journey to all 30 professional baseball stadiums in just 40 days to raise awareness and money in the fight against cancer.

On Thursday, the tour will be stopping at U.S. Cellular Field. On Friday he'll visit Kansas City, then return to visit Wrigley Field on Saturday. By the time he's finished, Freels will ride more than 13,000 miles in order to raise money and awareness for cancer research and to show support of cancer patients.

Freels is attempting to set the Guinness World Record by visiting every stadium/arena for three of America's major professional sports - baseball, football, and basketball - while continuing to raise awareness of cancer research.

Thirty on One is a grassroots, fundraising effort for Livestrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Freels is embarking on this ambitious venture because his mother, Lynn Ann Funk, is a breast cancer survivor. Funds raised through his effort will go to Livestrong.
