Anheuser-Busch cans alcoholic energy drinks

Anheuser-Busch says it'll stop selling caffeinated alcoholic drinks as part of a legal settlement with Illinois and several other states.

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan says Anheuser-Busch made the right decision by pulling products like "Tilt" and "Bud Extra." And she says she hopes other companies follow the brewer's lead.

State investigators complained the St. Louis-based brewer had been marketing the caffeinated beverages to minors and misrepresenting the drinks' health benefits.

The company has been dogged by accusations that its marketing for the brands targets underage drinkers and encourages illegal sales.
