Rabid bat in North Aurora

A North Aurora resident and a pet were exposed to rabies by a bat, the Kane County Health Department announced in a news release Tuesday night. The resident is receiving medical follow-up, and the pet was previously vaccinated. This brings the county total to six cases so far in 2008: three in Aurora, one in St. Charles, one in Geneva and one in North Aurora.
