Report: Wolves' Anderson to coach Thrashers

At long last, Chicago Wolves coach John Anderson appears headed for a job in the NHL.

The Sports Network in Canada reported late Thursday night that the Atlanta Thrashers have hired the 51-year-old Anderson to be their new head coach.

While there was no official confirmation from the Thrashers, a source close to the Wolves said it looked to be a done deal.

The Wolves are Atlanta's American Hockey League affiliate and just wrapped up winning the Calder Cup, which was the fourth title for Anderson.

Anderson has won two Calder Cups, two Turner Cups in the old International League and posted more than 500 victories with the Wolves in is 10 years behind the bench.
