Thanks for listening to the community

Finally, after listening to the community outcry, the Glen Ellyn Park District Board decided to listen and help our cause. They helped us in a major way and told us they actually do care by not putting in the three soccer fields at Ackerman Woods.

This was a big step forward for those of us who believe in saving Ackerman Woods, which happens to be almost all of Glen Ellyn (and even surrounding communities). Every one I have asked that did not know about the situation was extremely upset (about the threat to the trees.)
